Beauty
What's Behind the Name?
Though flowers in general are known for their beauty, their importance in the ecosystem and humanity is crucial. They help plant species to carry on for generations. Women are the same way, we are beautiful but have an important role within society-that goes further than what is seen physically.
The name Rose and Violet was given to showcase how planting and nurturing seeds through thoughts, words, and community, can allow the soul to blossom into something strong and beautiful.
Through dance, Siatta believes, that women can reclaim their power and the essence of who they are by planting one seed at a time.
Ask about Me
My name is Nefertiti Nandi
Nefertiti:the beautiful woman has come
Nandi:Strong Willed
There are many titles I hold, but the one I wear with the highest esteem is being a dancer of international dance styles.

The seeds were planted through my bloodline as both my mother and grandmother were well known for their dance skills in the community and those seeds were watered through watching other dancers such as Fifi Abdou,Soheir Zaki, Yondo Sister and Aurlus Mabele.

As a mende and fulani girl, and daughter of Sierra Leoneon immigrants who played international music, my love for learning about different cultures and history started at age 6. The continuous observation of dance from around the world and its interplay with culture and history, transformed me into the dance and culture enthusiast I am today. I have had the opportunity to pursue diverse dance styles which include…salsa, cumbia, punta, baile funk, samba, twerk, pole, kizomba, belly dance, soukous and so much more. My experience with teaching and value for history and culture has allowed me to have a unique flair in my teaching and dance styles.

I hope to show you that dance is not only a good way to keep fit, but also a way to connect to your soul and elevate your spirit.

Welcome to Rose and Violet International Dance
